Autumn (September to November) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the trek.
Located on the border of Lamjung, Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal, Dudhpokhari is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites and have hundreds of visitors flocking in during the Janai Purnima Festival. At the height of around 5300m, the lake is significant for the Gurung community that lives nearby. The Namun-La High Pass and Dudhpokhari trek was recently opened to public and has an adventurous trail, with Namun-La Pass being one of the most challenging passes of the country. Enriched with Gurung heritage, the trail is also popular for its serene view of the majestic mountains of Annapurna range and the diverse biodiversity.
