Major Highlights of Around Manaslu Circuit Trek
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best months for this trip.
Manaslu trek is a moderate trek with 5-6 hours of walking every day with a light rucksack. In some days however, we might have to walk up to 8-10 hours. It is advised that you prepare yourself by jogging or walking around 12 km every day for around 3 months before your actual trip so that we will be able to walk in physically demanding high-altitude conditions and remote areas for many days for hours at a time. In order to make the trip successful, having a strong willpower, the ability to tolerate harsh weather conditions along with reasonable fitness is crucial. Medical and evacuation expenses are the responsibility of the participant. It is also important that we consult our doctor for vaccination and other medical requirements for our trip.
Around Manaslu Circuit Trek is considered as one of the most breathtaking as well as challenging trekking circuits in Nepal. While the trek definitely gives us the spectacular view of Mt. Manaslu, which at the height of 8163m is the 8th highest mountain in the world, going through Larkya La Pass, believed to the most dramatic as well as highest pass while crossing the Himalayas is definitely a challenge.
The 18 days trek definitely has adequate time for acclimatization and provides plenty of time to enjoy the culture and heritage along the trail as well as the natural wonders. Since much of the trek involves walking on mountain trails, one needs to be fit and well experienced with walking for a longer period of time. Because of its remoteness and seclusion, it is found out to be in the opposite end of the experience while trekking in the Annapurna region.
